Breakfast is a serious business here, and after a generous amount of home-made food head off to climb the highest active volcano in Europe. Guided by our alpine and volcanologist guide you’ll get to 2500 m. asl by the cable car and then continue by special 4WD vehicles. Take a short memorable trek before going to a historical winery for a well deserved lunch. Or opt for an easy and awesome trek over the lava field of the most recent serious Etna eruption which thankfully stopped at just 700 metres from the village of Zafferana.
Spend the afternoon reading poolside and tonight head to a SLOW FOOD trattoria to sample their epic tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and other autumn treats.

There must be something very special about this land if today is one of the most intriguing wine regions in Europe and high-class winemakers from Italy and Europe have come here to make wine.
After a leisurely morning, today we’ve arranged a private lunch in a boutique winery accompanied by a tasting of the company’s Crus. And it’s just the beginning. You’ll head then to the most visionary among the pioneers of natural Etna wines, Frank Cornelissen.
The choice is yours tonight, head to Taormina for a lovely walk, a scenic sundowner and a superb dinner. Or let your guide whisk you away on a gastronomic adventure to explore Catania’s street food and nightlife scene.
On your final day unwind in the pool or add a twist to your getaway and ride on horseback along the edge of an ancient volcanic cone. Ride past Etna’s woods, orchards and vineyards, to reach the closest you might ever come to riding a horse on the surface of the moon.
After dinner toast your trip with an Italian grappa or a local liqueur at the cosy bar on the property sitting by the fireplace on autumn evenings listening to the excellent music.
